Summary

Thank you for being a behavior analyst.

Travel to your clients house and back again.

Your functional contextualism is true. You're a scientist who builds rapport.

And if you ran discrete trials, invited everyone you knew

You would see the greatest responding would be from me

And the consequence would be my saying

Thank you for being a behavior analyst.

It's a behavior analytic podcast about behavior analysis in which we pick a topic and discuss relevant research articles about it. I'm sorry, I'm a little low energy. I love grab bags because I get to read whatever I want. I don't know it's a grab bag. I haven't said that, so it could be a totally different episode. Actually, Jackie, this is a different episode.

1:12.0

This is a delayed discounting episode.

1:13.7

It's very complicated. read whatever I want. How do you know it's a grab bag? I haven't said that. So it could be a totally different episode. Actually, Jackie, this is a different episode. This is a delayed discounting episode.

1:13.7

It's very complicated. Can you imagine if that was the case? And I was like, okay, I'm ready. I'm ready. I'm so excited about grab bags. But sadly, the topic is something very complicated and sensitive issue. Now, this is a grab bag, which is one of our episodes where we sort of just pick three articles that are of interest to us and us alone. Do you like them? We don't even care. Go ahead. Like it or not like it. But you probably will. If you've listened to the show long enough, you sort of have a sense of what types of articles we like to read about. Sometimes we go off script a bit and pick up a little different. I did a little bit. Yeah. But we really just sort of pick. The original conceit was sort of like what if we just randomly picked three articles, but that would make for a really bad episode because you just don't listen to us reading them and thinking about them for a while. So instead we just said let's pick articles, but they're not themed around any one thing for this episode. So here we are. That's what we're doing. And with that great intro out of the way, that was the best intro I think I've ever done. It's because we're heading, we're heading into the 11th year now. So it's one of those things like when you know you're doing podcasts, you're like, all right, let's get ready to go.

2:17.7
