We were hesitant about doing this interview as we want to the focus to remain on our incredible guests and not ourselves. Andy was on the fence about allowing this to happen. This podcast is about its

cajole, prod, guilt him into even allowing it.

When Andy and Nicki started this podcast, the first question every one of my friends had was,

when is someone going to interview Andy? No one was sure, but everyone wanted it to happen.

After his interview with me came out,

the idea of me interviewing Andy started out as a joke.

Like many things in life, sooner or later, the joke sounded more and more reasonable.

After a while, the thought of anyone but me asking Andy questions and teasing his story out was something I didn't want.

As a once fan turned close friend I felt that I had a unique

perspective on his life and I wanted to help his story be told. I can also be persuasive and that helped.

his accomplishments stand alone both in their extent and frequency and the duration of his dominance and competitive flyfishing is without parallel.
