Hi, Joe. Welcome back to Baseball by the book. Hi, great to be here. Your new book is called

Why We Love Baseball. And in the introduction, you talk about the fact that you kind of went around to some different people and asked them why they love baseball. And in the introduction, you talk about the fact that you kind of went around

to some different people and asked them why they love baseball, which I thought was really

interesting because that's a question I have myself a lot. Like, what is it about this sport that

has kind of captured my attention for basically my entire life? Why am I obsessed with to the point

that I do a podcast in my closet?

Why is it something that has sort of had this hold on me my whole life in a way that

other sports just never really have?

Is that something that you think about?

Like I know you obviously have written about other sports and you know a lot about

other sports, but baseball obviously is near and dear to your heart.

Have you thought about that question of what it is about this sport in particular that

really draws you to it?

Absolutely.
