All aboard. Hello, everyone. This is Angie from All Creatures Podcasts. I am so excited for this interview today, as we'll be talking all about fish, fishing, freshwater, conservation, and science. And of course, we're going to learn a lot more about really, really big and rare

megafish. Today I'll be talking with fish biologists, explorer, and photographer, Seb Hogan,

all about his career as a scientist and how he became the

beloved host of the National Geographic TV series Monster Fish. We'll also be talking all about

his quest to save megafish from extinction and his new book called Chasing Giants in Search of the World's Largest Freshwater Fish.

This book focuses on his quest to learn more about and save these big, beautiful, and rare freshwater fish.

Hey, so glad to be with you. I'm just, I come from a long line of people that love freshwater, love fishing, my grandfather. My father, he was actually more of a catch and release, sport fishermen. And now I have three boys and my eldest son is just, just wants to know more about water, the fish that live in it, their biology.
