He's the broadcaster for the El Paso Chihuahuas,

and he previously appeared on the podcast to discuss his book, Root for the Home

Team, Minor League Baseball's Most Off-the-Wall team names. Today he's here to talk about his new book.

It's called Tales from the Dugout, 1001, humorous, inspirational, and wild anecdotes from

minor league baseball. Let's get started.

Hi, Tim. Welcome back to baseball by the book. Oh, thanks, Justin. I've listened to a lot of your shows,

so it's great to be a guest on it. Now, you were last on the podcast. I just looked this up.

The last time you were here, you were talking about your book, Root for the Home Team, and that was December 2017. So it's been about five and a half years since you were last on. And I will say that I know that that's not a record for longest time between appearances, because I recently

had Ryan McGee on, and he had been more than six years. But I think you're probably a solid

second in terms of the biggest gap

between appearances. So I do appreciate you keeping me in mind after all these years and coming

back on, even though I'm not doing the podcast regularly anymore. Yeah, no, it was great to

correspond with you. And I'm not just saying that. There have been many times getting ready

for broadcast. My full-time job is a broadcaster for the Padres, AAA, Tima, El Paso. And I always love having a baseball podcast on in the background when I'm

getting my notes ready. And yours has certainly been one of the go-toes over the years.

All right. So, Tim, we're here to talk about your new book. It's called Tales from the Dugout,
