Summary

Snatch Game rarely goes off without a hitch, but this season it barely got off the ground. Queens like Bosco and Willow have been making smart choices all season, but misstepped into muted takes on Drew Barrymore and Gwyneth Paltrow. Angie’s Tammie was more beige than Brown while Camden made the tragic choice to be William Shakespeare (and not to be Joanna Lumley). Daya’s Ozzy and Jorgeous’s Ilana Glazer, well, weren’t, and Betsy DeVos tanked like Maxine Waters a few seasons ago, so fingers crossed we don’t get a Nancy Pelosi on Season 15. That being said, Michelle’s Investigation on the runway and Ru’s heavy kid gloves this week made for a refreshing take on a tanked challenge, and DeJa Skye finally nabbed a big win for her Lil Jon. Given how off the rails this one went, we had no choice but to instead spend more time celebrating Jujubee’s Cher on Drag Race UK vs the World, and of course break down Bob the Drag Queen’s formula for a good Snatch Game performance. All right, Mary, easy to say to the bitcher, you're like, oh, be a character, because I

0:20.7

felt like Bosco's choice was Gwyneth as a character, and they're like, oh no, we just

0:27.6

kind of want it more Gwyneth. And I was like, oh, well, like I planned the literal shit

0:33.4

out of it, but either like strike oil or like lightning strikes or it doesn't, and there's

0:37.9

not like a formula to break it down.

0:40.0

Yeah.

Hello, my name is Bob the drag winner today. I want to teach you how to win Snatch Game

0:45.8

UnrePaul's Drag Race. Step number one, picking the right celebrity. You want to pick a celebrity

0:50.8

with a very unique voice or some very specific catch phrases. You want to make sure you pick

0:55.4

someone with a voice that is easy to recognize and imitate. You don't have to get it perfect.

0:59.2

It just has to make sense. You have to be able to hear it.

1:01.8

Share Tim Gunn, Wanda Sykes, Chris Rock, Donald Trump, Carol Channing, Liza Mennelli,

1:12.8

Boiney Sanders, President Rock, Obama. Step two, the look. Do the hit. Pick a look at everyone

1:22.1

knows. Don't pick their most obscure look. Do the look for their most famous music video.

1:28.2

Their most famous movie. Their most famous TV show. Don't pick a B-side because you're

1:32.4

a big fan. Step three, improv. Yes, and you have to be able to roll with the punches.

1:39.1

Snatch Game is not actually about the answers that you put up. It's about how you interact

1:43.1

with the people around you. Show that you're listening, so that you're being a part of

1:46.7

the scene that you're not too in your head. You're actually working with the people around

1:51.0

you. Step four, do the unexpected. You're going to be an element of surprise in your performance.

1:57.3

And I know this sounds cheesy, but most importantly, have fun. You have to have fun with the character.

2:04.1

If you're not having fun, it'll show on your face and everyone's face around you.
