Now we're doing starcades in a row and I really enjoyed last week's episode starcade 96 with Hogan and Piper on top.

Well let's talk about it. It's the biggest pay-per-view in WCW history with that on December 28th 1997 from the MCI center right there watching from DC.

And this is a departure. The last few years had been held in Nashville, Tennessee. Now we're moving on up to Washington, DC.

Did that feel like a bigger venue, a bigger town, a bigger event just based on location?

Of course it did. You know, the MCI center is a really, it's a big venue, it's a cool venue.

Compared to what we were doing, yeah, it was a big departure.

If you remember last week, you asked me about why Nashville.

And as we discussed, we typically would book venues almost a year in advance, not because we wanted to, but because we had to.

And as I mentioned last week, you know, in 96, we were just getting our feet underneath us.

We were just beginning to turn things around. We didn't have as much confidence really in ourselves as we probably could have or should have.

But by 97, you know, by the end of 96, booking venues for 97 for this event, in particular, we were very confident in the direction we were going.

And the forecast we had in terms of business and attendance and that type of thing.
