I'm James Corbett of Corbett.com. It is the 2nd of February 2018, and it is that time that you have been waiting for anxiously for a week and a half now.

That's right, the real fake news awards.

As I'm sure you saw on my announcement on this channel about a week and a half ago

before I was so rudely interrupted by a particularly nasty flu bug.

This is the real fake news awards, i.e. those fake news awards given to clunker fake news stories

over the past year that has nothing to do with the left-right phony divide and

this is not GOP-approved Republican-sponsored awards of any sort.

This is really going to run the gamut of some of the worst fake news stories of the past year.

And as you saw in that announcement, no doubt, I did call on the participation of the

listeners and viewers out there, so I'm very glad to see that the corporate report members did

log on to the site and leave their nominations in droves.

Dozens and dozens and dozens and dozens of nominations for fake news stories of the year,

and obviously we cannot do injustice to all of them tonight. We cannot

dishonor all of them. So I will suggest that you go and take a look at that

announcement and at the dozens and dozens of suggestions that corporate

report members left in the comment section there for fake news stories of the

year we're just going to highlight a few of the worst offenders tonight and they run quite a large range of different

types of stories in different areas so I think it's an interesting little

experiment and this is the first annual so I'm sure many more to come

...
