1:11.4	A summary of the case.
1:13.9	Janelle Matthews was a 12-year-old who had been born in Santa Barbara, California.
1:19.4	She was then adopted and grew up in Greeley, Colorado, an hour north of Denver.
1:26.0	Janelle had an older sister, and sang in the school chorus, while Janelle's father
1:31.2	was a principal in another school district.
1:34.5	Janelle seemed to be just your average girl at the edge of her teen years.
1:39.9	However, during the trial, as testified by a friend at the time, Janelle believed she
1:46.9	was being followed by someone.
1:49.6	In addition, Janelle expressed antipathy toward her parents, and even spoke about skipping
1:55.6	school on December 21st, 1984.
1:59.4	However, she disappeared the evening before.
2:04.0	So on December 20th, 1984, Janelle had sung with other students in a concert downtown.
2:11.8	After Russell Ross, the father of a friend of Janelle's, gave her a ride home.
