colorful parades, as well as family gatherings and barbecues.

But for a woman named Robin Gardner, July 4th is a date that brings up a traumatic

memory. On July 4th, 1990, Robin had been attacked by a man as she wrote her bike.

What Robin hadn't realized at the time was that she had narrowly escaped a fate that would later fall upon another innocent woman.

She could never have imagined that the horrific experience would later help convict

the same man of murder.
