Ladies and gentlemen welcome back to the three or seven podcast. I'm so fired up about today's

episode with a good friend of my name Ian Thomas Lynch. A lot of you guys have heard about Ian in the stories that I tell.

And Ian was the young man that I ran the Bob's Big Timber Backyard Ultra, the last man standing race, that would have been in May of 2019.

And that is where a lot of these montras that we use today were born and most especially the Don't Die in the Chair mantra.

So, Ian, this was Ian's first endeavor into the Ultra Marathon world and Ian ended up running

over a hundred miles that day on his first ultra. And we just really teamed up. We worked

through these mantras. We learned a lot about ourselves and Ian got to learn a

lot about what he was actually capable of that day.

And he just talks through how the power of the spoken word and the power of people and the camaraderie that we had together and the
