Today our conversation is about moving beyond or moving past patriarchy.

And we're talking with Carolyn Custis James, an author, as well as an adjunct professor

at Biblical Theological Seminary.

And we're talking quite a bit today about Genesis.

We go into those narratives.

We talk about feminism, patriarchy.

And a lot of it is how we read our Bibles and what is Paul doing?

What is Genesis doing?

And how is it part of a patriarchal culture?

And how is it getting us out of or the trajectory is to resist that same

culture.

So we talk about patriarchy.

And by that, and I'm not going to actually ruin it because Carolyn defines it for us.

And so you'll just have to listen to that as we go along here.

But it was a really interesting and helpful conversation, particularly because Carolyn's,

I guess, her context of being in the evangelical world, just a grace and a sensitivity
