Today, our focus will be on rheumatology, and for this, we have two amazing guests.

As a case is guessing, we have Dr. Sarah Gottman, who is a rheumatologist at Zuckerberg, San Francisco

General Rheumatology Clinic, and at the UCSF Bascalitis Clinic, where she is the associate

director.

She has a clinical focus on systemic vasculidities and antifosolipid syndrome, and is the associate director of She has a clinical focus on systemic vascularities and antifossolipid

syndrome and is the associate director of the UCSF rheumatology fellowship and a senior associate

program director in the UCSF internal medicine residency, where she focuses on subspecialty education.

She also holds multiple leadership roles in medical education at UCSF, where she is the associate chief of

education in the division of rheumatology. And as a case presenter, we have Dr. John Landefel, who is an

internist and medical educator at Sacramento Country Public Health and an assistant clinical professor

at UC Davis Health. And he was previously an intern in medicine resident at UCSF and at Zuckerberg,

San Francisco General Hospital.

And before we jump into the case, I would like to ask both of you, why did you choose your

subspecialty you're in and what you like to do outside of medicine?

I'm happy to start, and I will update John's bio to say that he is now returned to UCSF and is a rheumatology fellow with us here.
