So I have a question for both of you, this is a weird way to start the show, but I was

thinking the other day about how long we've been doing this show and things that we have

said in the past that I'm wondering if they're still true.

So this is not scary, it just happened to think about it.

So a long time ago we were talking about tools that we liked and disliked and David was

talking about how he really, really disliked the router.

You've done a lot since then, you've made a lot of things, you've gotten different tools.

Do you still hate the router?

I still hate the router, it is just this spinning tool of death.

I feel like I have more control at the table saw.

If I have to cut a rabbet or a dado, I will usually do it at the table saw, except yesterday

I had to do it at the router because I needed a stop and that was the only good way was

to do it at the router.

I feel like sometimes the router hits a bit of grain that's going in a different direction

and it catches and it ruins the piece or it's just a scary moment.

And then I should know by now, but sometimes when the router is this way, you have to go

in this direction, but when you flip the router the other way, you have to go in the other

direction and I always have to stop and think which way do I have to go when I'm not at

the router table.

I do a test piece every single time for the reason, every time.

I don't know each time, but I always have to tap the wood just to see which way it's

going to pull out of my hand and I don't know which way to work.
