When we originally separated, my wife and I were married for 18 years. And as I mentioned in my I.M. or my message, I'm a veteran.

1:12.0

I'd be discharged veteran. And when we first went through our separation, what I saw and what I could see and what I felt was how biased it seemed that the court system was towards men and very specifically towards veterans.

So I was from being the plaintiff in the situation where the next thing I know I was having to spend thousands of dollars to try and get that stuff cleared up before I could even approach entering into a settlement that both worked for her and for me.

3:11.0

Even though those things were done to me, I was trying to figure out a way to work it out with, you know, the kids would be taking care of and I would be taking care of.

3:19.0

But it just seems like the everything that I did as a dad, even the people that took me through these mental assessments and these things that I felt like was unnecessary.

3:29.0

Everything I did at every turn, even with lawyers, it just seems like there are so many hurdles when it comes to father trying to get full custody of his kids.

3:40.0
