how could you be there? Yeah. We were talking about this on the editors. One, forgotten, there was a shutdown in 2018, and especially forgotten that it lasted for 35 days.

My memory's just blanked it out because it was such a terrible period for the country.

You know, I work in the government. I started in the Marshal Service and I was

there for five years and then I was at the U.S. Attorney's Office for almost 20 years. I remember,

I remember the subway strike a lot more than I remember whether we had a shutdown or not. We had a riff,

um, a reduction in force. I don't remember if we shut down. I was, I mean, I was there until

2002, so I know we had shutdowns. Um, I was doing a terrorism case, I think, during one of them.

And for some reason, because of that, there was some national security for Gaze thing that somehow I was essential and like other people were non-essential.

But none of it mattered because everybody got paid at the end anyhow.
