Summary

My friend Jack Hadley (Entrepreneur, Adjunct Professor at BYU) shares his journey with his gay son Parker. Jack and Betina are the parents of five children and eight grandchildren. Parker, age 27 and a RM from Nova Scotia, was married in July of 2020 to his husband Alex with Jack officiating. Jack talks about how he is happy for Parker and is supportive of his decision. Jack wrote the following essay which I encourage our listeners to read. It reflect the honest feelings and good heart of a committed Latter-day Saint doing his best maintain a strong family. 0:58.8	married to his husband in July of 2020. So Jack has been on this road for about five years since
1:06.3	his son Parker came out and we'll just be talking about how to navigate this road, at least how they're
1:11.5	doing it in their family. And I have, we'll reference a blog that Jack has written that is very

1:24.4	He's in his early 60s. It's rare I have a podcast guest that's actually a year or two older than me, but Jack is, but he looks younger. He is, as I mentioned, active LDS serves in a local calling, served a mission to Taiwan. He's spent 40 years as an entrepreneur in that field, he's been an adjunct professor at
