Guilfoyle. We are a couple of missionaries at Acts 29. And this is the podcast where we talk about

how acquiring a biblical worldview brings us great and unshakable hope and the God who created

and rescued this world in order that we can be agents of transformation

and recreation. Mary, I'm not going to stutter right now, but Merry, Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas to you, too, Father John. Hard to believe we're just two days away, isn't it?

I know. So it's the day that we've been waiting for. It's the season that we've been preparing for.

Praise God. And I am ecstatic about getting into this because we've hit record a couple of times and stopped a

couple of times because this is going to be a very raw and honest podcast, which I think is so

appropriate for these days that we're celebrating, less people think this thing's just some hallmarky holiday

that has nothing to say to real life. And as people are going to hear, this has lots to say

about real life. So what's our topic? So our title for today, has anything really changed?

Heavenly Father, our minds, or at least parts of our minds, know that everything has changed

because of what it is that we're about to celebrate and what it is that this son who is

was born for us has gone on to do for us,

but we have to be honest and say to you that oftentimes it doesn't look like or feel like anything has changed.

So help us to know how to enter into these days, at one of the same time, being honest with what's going on

in our lives and in our families and in the world and in the church, and understanding what it is
