And now, without further ado, I welcome to this very podcast through the

miracle of Riverside, none other than, Annie McCarthy.

Rich, how are you? Not too bad. You?

I say the same thing every week, but it's these Trump weeks are like dog years. I can't even

keep straight what day it is. It's fascinating. It's always something

new to consider and think about. We got this Kimmel thing. But first of all, so the Mets have been

in a swoon, but somewhat stabilized a little bit. They keep on stabilizing just above water in the

wild card race. I just don't, you know, I think in the end, I think David Stearns had a bad year, the guy they brought in.

I think he's very good and he's ultimately, you know, it's clear that the team's better organized and the farm system is better and all that stuff.

But, you know, the kind of money they put into this team, the starting pitching really had to be better.

And it really wasn't good.

And they went into the season with very iffy pitching.

And yesterday, I think in the last game, Rich, they used their 46th pitcher of the season,

which is now a major league record.
