let me ask you this though like so how did we get from Lloyds of London to doing Irish race science

to me having to figure out what the fuck a bronze plan is and finding out that a bronze plan

it's like a god damn it's like as much as a god damn run on your god damn apartment it's insane

yeah crazy who is buying the gold plan are you the rich you're you're well most people

get their insurance you can talk about through employers right and so buying individually

is not cost you know cost effective okay well thank you mr. fucking yeah so I just like it's it seems

like it's it's one thing that I again as a layman here is that insurance as as sort of these

sciences have grown as we've become more mathematically advanced and it's just as society has

progressed insurance has just become more complicated more and more and more and more complicated

but that seems to be for the insurer a profitable thing because as Liz said they're able to create more

and more products basically in service of that right so like any little demographic or group

they can like basically have an insurance product for them that cost a god damn armoured a leg

uh and I'm just like what was that evolved like that that of that seems to have just evolved

I mean it's not that's been the world I'm 33 years old but like insurance to me has always been

this mystifying thing where I want to get it over as soon as possible uh because of them

well yeah so it has evolved for sure into you know it's it's the way that risk has become

the kind of governing ideology of the world of our lives right that like everything is framed

in terms of risk you know regulating risk identifying risk managing and mitigating risk

in some way uh you know and this is not predetermined like you know it's not as if risk is the

singularly best way to govern everything in our lives um that is the product of widespread

financialization um and the liberalization of everything you know the insurance industry really
