We're going to go back in time to the 30th anniversary show Night 1.

We covered this in a very early episode, but this is going to be more an excruciating detail.

Well, frankly, it was one of our like first 15 or so episodes.

And which one was it?

Episode 20 or something. It was, it was definitely the first year.

Well, anyway, we didn't know what the hell we were doing.

And we tried to condense all four of these kind of, these are some of the most magical nights in the entire history of Metallica.

Oh, yeah. And we did try to condense all four into one, like, hour-long episode. We probably didn't read any emails. I didn't

even know to look at Metallica.com for the full set list. So I think I was just relying on YouTube.

Right. Do you know what episode it was? Are you looking it up? Yeah, episode 10, and it was an hour

long.

And I think someone even criticized us on the Metallica forums for not having our shit together for that one or whatever. So this is not necessarily an attempt to try to appease our teacher

from six years ago, who gave us a test we apparently failed. But just an effort to revisit an

exciting time. We're kind of

camped out in 2011. There is a cross-section with Lulu at these 30th anniversary shows. And I got to tell you,

man, they're very exciting. Like even just watching, so the way this is going to work later is we've

split the shows up so we could save time, even though I was still up until 3.30 a.m. making notes for this.
