One of the experiences I trust every homeruer shares is the feeling of awe that comes from witnessing the conversion of wort into beer through the fermentation process.

Even after 15 years, I still get giddy when I see the first signs of airlock activity, a nice fluffy cruise and developing on top of my beer.

The worst is when this takes too long.

A few years ago, a group of guys reached out letting me know they wanted to do something more with this little thing called the brew club, which at the time had been around for maybe a year but was not terribly active.

They had this idea to get people more involved, which was especially important at the time considering the whole COVID pandemic where people were spending a lot more time at home and a lot less time going to in-person club meetings.

One of the dudes leading this up was a home brewer from San Antonio, Texas, named Will Lovell, who had a clear passion for brewing, which was evidenced by his early participation in what eventually became the brew club experiment series.

After communicating with Will, a whole bunch had occurred to me. He seemed to have the chops to do this whole Bruloscopy thing on a more official level, so I invited him to join the crew.

And luckily for all of us, he accepted.

Well, a couple months ago, Will was the guest for the monthly live Q&A session we offer to patrons of Bruloscopy.

He hung out for over an hour answering questions and sharing some of his experiences.
