abandon all responsibility for this podcast but because i care for the listener i'm not only here

0:45.3

to do the show but i found a superior replacement we've he's been gone for a lot of episodes over the

0:50.5

300 and something i've gotten a better co-host to replace them each and every time.

0:55.1

This time, Nick Nelson from Twins Daily, who I thought would be perfect to, because we're

1:00.9

basically just going to talk about opening day roster, final cuts, you know, how bad the

1:07.0

Twins bullpen is going to be, all the fun stuff.

1:09.4

And Nick and I were both obsessively tweeting about this stuff for the past, like, 72 hours.

1:25.8

So it should be good. Hello? Good to be here. Yeah. So Nick from Twins Daily, which, you know, I don't recommend bonuses stuff. Although he doesn't even write for there anymore. Yeah, that's not really a concern. He's just basically a man behind the scenes there. But yeah, Nick stuff is good.

And Nick went to spring training and was doing some quasi-re quasi reporting and then came back and had some uh like uh feature stuff saved up i don't know you really i feel like you really treated the trip to florida because you guys all

alternate staying in this like whatever it is dungeon of i don't know is it a nice place you guys

1:43.4

yeah it's actually it varies from year to year but this year it was a pretty nice place yeah they were not there very much you know you get up early you go to the ballpark and that's true it's vacation but it's not that's true you know it's long days but i enjoy it and it's fun to put on the the journalist hat i guess for a week yeah and you i mean i guess all you guys sort of did. Because for a week at a time, you can really put some effort into it. I feel like covering the team for 162 days, 162 games would be tough. But for a week at a time, you just fill your notebook or your head with as much info as you can think of, write some stuff up there. and then you came back and we're like, well, now I'm going to write about these two or three things that I sort of talk to people about while I'm yeah you know it's I like to blog from a fan's perspective and that's kind of what I've been doing but it's definitely cool to have that access and be able to talk to some people down there and and get those insights for a week in spring training and it's it's pretty instructive I think. And, yeah, I thought there was some good things that I learned and saw it down there.

And, well, the twins are much better about during the regular season, too,

credentialing bloggers, non-traditional media, whatever.

2:46.9

But especially during spring training, like you guys go down there,
