0:39.3

Disorder on you, dishonor on your cow. If you have not listened to last week's episode, I'm not going to say this episode will make no sense, but it will make significantly less sense.

0:48.3

So I will advise you to go back to episode 300 for part one of our Biggie and two pack series.

But you're your own person, you know. Do what you want, but are you? I mean, it's free will real. I don't know. Who am I?

1:02.3

Who are we? We don't have time to get into all that because we've got loads to talk about in the shape of Mr. Biggie Smalls.

1:09.3

Mr. Biggie Smalls indeed. Welcome to part two of our Biggie and two pack series.

1:14.3

And before we get going, let's recap briefly what we learned last week because if we don't do that, you get annoyed.

1:21.3

At the age of just 25, rap icon and sexual assault convict, two pack Shakur was gunned down by a glock poking out of a white Cadillac on the 7th of September 1996, after a Mike Tyson fight in Vegas.

1:51.3

And it is generally agreed by most that in an act of retaliation, Orlando Anderson would be the one to shoot two pack Shakur from the window of a white Cadillac.

2:03.3

How everyone, including us, came to that conclusion is what we're all going to find out together this week.

2:08.3

But before we get to that bit, let's get better acquainted with our major player this week, the notorious B.I.G.

2:16.3

Born Christopher Wallace in 1972, Biggie grew up in Brooklyn. His mum, Violeta, was a nicest, most hardworking woman you could ever meet.

2:27.3

As a result of her hard work and migrant work ethic, Biggie spent his early years on the very brink of the middle class.

2:34.3

He even went to private school. Nobody talks about that bit.

2:37.3

And he actually did well at that private school. And despite his later lyrics describing growing up with no food on the table in a one-room shack, Christopher Wallace's childhood was definitely comfortable.

2:50.3

So Biggie's life was definitely not kind of bouncing from shelter to shelter, the situation that two pack had endured as a baby.

2:57.3

Eventually, Biggie convinced his mum to let him transfer to a public high school that just so happened to have been attended by Jay-Z.
