In a modest four-bedroom home on 26th court, the blue glow of a television flickered through the windows. Inside, three

people who'd become a family watched a movie together. Fifty-nine-year-old Tim Smith, his 57-year-old

husband, Herbert Swilly, and Herbert's 19-year-old daughter, Jordan. They'd shared this home for the past five years,

and many nights before, had looked just like this one.

The three of them relaxed, watching TV,

enjoying the kind of routine that makes a house feel like a home.

By 9.30 p.m., the evening began winding down. Tim, wearing his pajamas, finished

taking his regimen of medications and supplements in the kitchen. Herbert headed to bed early,

hoping to feel rested for his 4.30 a.m. gym session the next morning. Eventually, Jordan went to her bedroom and fell asleep. It was the last

night the three of them would spend together in that house. Join me now as we explore the murder of
