On our last episode, Jordan told the story of Marie Ann Watson, a mother of two who vanished

under mysterious circumstances from Emmett, Idaho in 1977.

On this episode, Jordan covers the 1996 investigation of the case after Raymond Rogers is arrested

in California on charges of triple homicide.

In a 1989 paper, written by psychiatrist Bessel van der Kolk,

a pioneer researcher into post-traumatic stress disorder, he

discusses how trauma, sexual, physical, or emotional, affects the childhood mind and leads

to a reenactment of the trauma as an adult.

In a study discussed in the paper, 14 juvenile boys sentenced to death were studied,

and it was found that 12 of them, that's almost 90%, had been brutally physically abused as young
