Hi everyone, this is Alex West with Andrea Suvis Zadie.

And we're back with our third episode of the Faculty of Horror.

We hope you all enjoyed our Valentine's Day episode.

I know Andrea and I had a long chat after it and she made it clear that we would be better just as friends and you know I'm okay now with that

so we decided for this third episode with our new friendship intact that we were going to talk about one singular movie because we've done to compare contrasts and both of them were from older movies so we thought we'd pick one from the last five years.

And we came to a final decision of Jennifer's Body, written by Diablo Cody, directed by Karen Kasuma, starring Megan Fox as the titular Jennifer and Amanda Seyfreed as her BFF

needy. So Jennifer's body came out in 2009 and I didn't see it right away. I have to admit once again, same as with fatal attraction. I've only seen it really recently, mostly for the sake of the podcast and there was a lot of discourse and argumentation about this movie when it came out and a lot of it had to do with whether or not this film was a feminist film or whether or not it was an anti-feminist film.

And it's a question that's come up before.

Spider Baby around this time last year and we talked about our favorite feminist characters in

film and what I said then and I still believe to be true now is that an

unfeminist film is one that features female characters that are just kind of
