podcast dedicated to the upcoming AMC TV series The Walking Dead. I'm going to Hello everybody and welcome to the talking dead as I said this is a podcast dedicated to the upcoming amC TV series The Walking Dead. We haven't done an

episode in a little while, but that is because there hasn't been a lot of news until recently.

It's also a busy time over the holidays and things like that. So glad to be back on the air. I'm joined by Jason and Dave for the first time.

Welcome to the show everybody. Hi. I'm David. Thanks, Dave, good work.

I am glad we can all be here because there are some interesting developments to talk about in the world of the walking dead,

and I think we should get right into it shall we jump right in all

right the first one the first one after we found out back in the summer last year that AMC had optioned the Walking Dead comic

to be adapted for TV, we knew that Frank Darabant, the famous and well-respected

director was on board, but that was all we were that's all the information we

had at the time. Well now a couple of weeks ago word came the episode to be produced. Hooray!

That is very exciting news.

Not much changed, except we do know that Frank Darabont is executive producing, writing, and directing.

And...

Only the pilot episode, though, right?

Well, at this point, as far as we know, only the pilot episode, yes.

I assuming they'll bring in other directors but I wouldn't be

surprised if Darabant did at least you know the the first few or the first story

arc maybe as they as they ball rolling that kind of. That's right get the ball rolling. Usually with TV shows it's the you know the creators writers directors that kind of thing. They you know direct and write the first few episodes and then it starts branching out to other people.
