Summary

I'm so excited to welcome back my dear friend and returning guest, Susan Guthrie, a leading family law attorney and mediator, for a robust conversation about the family court system. While family court often gets a bad rap (and yes, it needs reform), Susan and I dig into why it's not always terrible. There is good that can come from it too.

Together, we're breaking down what you can expect if you navigate the family court process, how to prepare for it, and how to make decisions that truly serve you and your kids. We're also diving into the hot topic of no-fault divorce laws: Could they be repealed? And what would that mean for families going forward?

What You'll Hear:

  • Why family court is necessary and not always the "necessary evil" it's made out to be (7:09)
  • What most people can expect from the family court system (12:50)
  • How to prepare for your day in court, including what serves you and what doesn't (17:25)
  • The likelihood of no-fault divorce laws being repealed and the potential implications (34:13)
