I was actually shocked that the conservatives hated this movie because you could have a very, very conservative reading of this film.

Again, it's made clear that Barbie is not a woman for all this movie until the end where she gets a vagina.

That's when Barbie actually becomes a real woman.

Noah Bomback and Greta Gerwick do not know what they're doing.

Okay, they're not smart people, they're not sophisticated people, their friends are not sophisticated.

And a lot of this movie is them.

I went to a drive-in movie theater in Cape Cod to watch a double screaming of both the Barbie movie and Legally Blonde,

which created an interesting pairing that maybe we'll get into later in the show.

And I have thoughts, feelings, and opinions.

And I want to set it up by asking this first.

What do you think this movie was trying to accomplish and did it do so successfully?

I think it was trying to accomplish advertising a toy.

And yeah, I think it did so successfully.
