I'm sat in a hotel room at White City,

overlooking the kind of circular area of what used to be old TV centre.

My young son, Rudy, is just tapping me on their shoulders.

Rudy, you're mentioned so often in this podcast. Do you want to just say

hello? Hello. There we go. We're actually off to Paris tomorrow for the day to go and explore

and just, yeah, sort of submerge yourself in French culture for the day. Anyway, I'm sat here

overlooking this circular area of TV centre and yeah, it just reminds me of so many times I've been here over the years making TV and being part of the kind of history of the BBC.

So it's a lovely place to be and lots of lovely memories here as well.

And also lovely memories of watching and experiencing some of the people that have appeared in the podcast as well.

So that's slightly odd and brilliant in various ways.

But this week is lovely because we've got two guests on this week's podcast, two returning guests actually for you on our latest episode of soundtrack.

And first up, Bryce Desner from the National,

who composed the score and music for Cyrano with his brother Aaron.

Then it's the man who directed this latest interpretation of the classic tale,

Mr. Joe Wright.

Joel's just the best company.

He loves what he does. It's, uh, his enthusiasm is really

infectious and he's a great storyteller and just good fun, really, really good fun, spend

time with Joe. And in preparation for our chat, I listened back to our previous episode,
