breaking a drought that had been too long. The last playoff for the Kings was 2006 and the Kings began playing on January 1st,

2023 in Memphis, a game that they lost, but that would not be an omen for the rest of the season because

uh the kings would play outstanding basketball especially after the all-star

break which would solidify them the third spot in the west with 48 wins and then

we had that playoff matchup against the Golden State Warriors something that I

had secretly hoped for that we would see for many

many years I used to talk about that with the Bay Area media and fans really I

always wanted to see the Kings and the Warriors I thought it could be very similar to the Kings and the

Lakers robbery. And I think what we saw in that seven game series was pretty remarkable. Really

remarkable. Really remarkable.
