who's a senior policy analyst at the Centre for Data Innovation,

focusing on AI and technology governance.

Now, prior to joining the centre, Ben was Chief of Staff at a financial technology company in London,

and prior to that, Dr. Mueller studied politics, philosophy and economics at University of Oxford.

He also completed his PhD in International Relations at the London School of Economics.

Would you like to tell us a little bit about the Centre for Data Innovation? Because I'm thinking

maybe not many people have heard about it.

Yeah, of course. The Centre for Data Innovation is a think tank based in Brussels and Washington, D.C.

And what we do is promote pragmatic public policies that help to maximize the benefits of data-driven innovation in the public and private sector.

So we try and educate policymakers and the public about the opportunities

and challenges associated with data and the promise of data-driven innovation. And we also conduct

research on technology trends around topics like open data, artificial intelligence and the

internet of things. And we produce short form and long form reports

on topics running the gamut from quantum computing or the state of the AI race between the US,

Europe and China, and then also more recently a technical explainer of the Artificial Intelligence
