I got following our last after dark episode.

In that episode, in response to a question about porn

shared some of the things I thought were dangerous or harmful about pornography and I got a lot of pushback from my listeners for saying that.

Now this was consistently thoughtful, kind, rational and reasonable pushback, but it dwarfed anything have ever gotten in the program,

which, you know, is surprising. We've talked about drug use, we've talked about pedophilia,

we've talked about some pretty difficult topics on this program but nothing

hit a button quite as sensitive as discussing porn. Here's some of the things

people said first of all I got a lot of emails from actual sex workers, mainly

cam girls, and those are people who perform nude over the internet for people, but I also got a few messages from current or former porn performers.

And that was not the only feedback I got. I also got emails from researchers and psychologists
