of a death sentence, was meeting with his lawyers downtown in Salt Lake City at the Metropolitan Hall of Justice.

Having escaped prison before, another opportunity for breakout presented itself.

As Ronnie was led into the courthouse that morning, shackled at the waist, a female

friend approached him and handed him a loaded revolver.

Ronnie ran loose in the courthouse for several minutes, terrorizing bystanders with the gun. But before authorities could subdue him, he had fatally shot an innocent person in the face. Defense attorney Michael Burdell.
