Hey, everybody. Welcome to you. We're born for this podcast with Father John Ricardo and Mary Guilfoyle. We're a couple of missionaries at Acts 29. And this is the podcast where normally we talk about the scriptures coming up for the Sunday, usually the first reading, but we're in the middle of a special summer series. Mary, it's good to be with you today.

It's always great to be with you, Father John, and I love this conversation that we're having

over a number of weeks because we're hearing from a lot of friends already, and they're

you know, I wonder if I can just put a quick word in here as we begin. Some of you might know

we lost a dear, dear, dear brother this past weekend, a member of our family here in Acts 29.

who was called home on this past Saturday morning.

And I just want to ask everybody for prayers for him, that the Lord will

bring him speedily home if he's not there yet. And certainly prayers for Sally and the whole family

and the Ave Maria community and the EWTN community who's happy for Al, but deeply grieving for

us. You know, we're in a season of sorrow, obviously, Father

John, and, you know, we're blessed to live in in southeast Michigan, where we've seen God do some

amazing things. And Ave, Maria, Radio is just around the corner. It's 15 minutes drive from here.

number of years, gosh, how many conversations have we had with people, especially in the heartland,
