It is opening day for Major League Baseball, it is a delayed opening day, that is true, and we have the lockout to thank for that, but the delay ended up not being all that much.

Remember, MLB during the lockout told us that opening day was canceled, and the first few weeks of the regular season were canceled, and then magically none of those cancellations actually ended up happening.

The cancellations proved to be empty threats, as the owners and players want a full regular season to, yes, make that money, okay, make that money, as Chase Young said, last year, every last penny, but opening day is here, and that is a good thing.

We have had a change in the start time for the Nationals Opener Game 1 of a four game series against New York Metz, at Nationals Park Moves Drum Thursday afternoon at 405 to Thursday night, at 705 with lots of ringing in the forecast for Thursday in the Washington DC area.

The Orioles won't begin their 2022 regular season until Friday afternoon, at the Tampa Bay Raise at 310.

No, not their team is expected to be very good this season, but there is a lot to be thinking about with each team, and so I'll give you the three things that to me matter the most for each team.

Hey, the commanders already have two Ohio State receivers in Terry McClure and Curtis Samuel, why not add one more with that number 11 pick in the 2022 draft.

Also regarding the commanders draft LSU corner Derek Stingley Jr. He is maybe the best corner in the 2022 draft. He also may be the most difficult player in the draft to evaluate in no small part due to him coming off a left foot Liz Frank injury, but Stingley on Wednesday was quite impressive at LSU's pro day.

Should the commanders consider taking Stingley with their number 11 pick in the 2022 draft, I will talk Derek Stingley Jr.

Next segment, I'll also talk capitals and wizards on the show, much needed win for the caps on Wednesday night and over a good team of four three win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
