Summary

On July 16, 2011, a 54-year-old man and his 47-year-old wife are bludgeoned to death at their home in Port St Lucie, Florida. The community is shocked beyond belief. The couple, who have been married for 25 years, leave behind a shell-shocked and heartbroken family, including two sons, who are left questioning the motivation for such an incomprehensible attack. When the perpetrator is identified, and their rationale for committing such a brutal double murder, those close to the victims are left wondering whether anything could have really stopped such a monstrous act. In episode 285, Jac and Alexis detail the disturbing case of Blake Hadley and his wife Mary-Jo, and how, when someone appears intent on heading down a certain path, sometimes no possible intervention can ever really prevent a person from making the most horrifying decision any of us could ever imagine.
