Christian Bulkie Thompson was a 26-year-old from Farnhamville, Iowa. He was a skateboarder and the

father of two. In the early morning hours of May 3rd, 2020, Christian was seen at a convenience

store with a female friend. 36 hours later, Christian's car was found on fire at a farm.

Although all of us who are interested in true crime know that fire can be a very good way to

dispose of evidence, destroy information, and cover up violence of many types, we really haven't

talked about fire that much ununfound, despite us getting close to the 250 disappearances mark.

The most prominent case of this type is probably Dorianne Myers, where both her house and car were

torched. Then there's Laura Bible and Ashley Freeman's case, with a Freeman's trailer still on

fire when firemen and police arrived. Jeremy Burk, his car found in the hills of Idaho,

practically ashes. Tyler North, we now pretty much know he was murdered, and his truck ended up

set a light, most likely by his ex-wife, and her boyfriend. Yet we don't have too many more than

those, so maybe six or seven out of 236 disappearances covered. Why such a low percentage?

My guess is because setting fire to anything is a poor way to make it look like no foul play

occurred. Well, with the disappearance of Christian Balky Thompson, you will hear about what

may be the strangest fire of all. But there is certainly more to this case than just a car being

burned up. And now a summary of the case. Christian Balky Thompson was a good guy and a father.

As a child, he got into skateboarding, something he continued well into his adult life.
