Today we are going to talk about Jane Shore.

So Jane Shore has been mentioned before on this podcast in the context of

episodes we've done on Royal Mistresses. She was the mistress of Edward IV, but she has never

had her own episode dedicated to her. And so I wanted to do that this week. So we are going to

dig into the life of Jane Shore. Before we get started,

though, I have something super fun and exciting that I am planning for spring break. I always like to

do fun things during the week of spring break. Last year, we did myth-busting the Tudors, which was super

fun, a five-day challenge where we examine different

myths every day. This year, we are doing the Great Tudor Escape, a virtual royal progress game.

So the way it's going to work is that every day during that week, from Monday to Friday,

March 24th to 28th, we are going to go on a virtual royal progress. There will be a short video

and then a series of puzzles. And you have to answer those questions in order to get your

golden pass to go on to the next day. So the court is on the move. You need to keep up with the

court. We're going to make five stops. We're going to go from London to Hampton Court, making five stops along the way, talking about places as we go and talking about travel in the tutor period and how people traveled, all of that. And then there's this puzzle element. And it ranges from like ciphers to logic puzzles, all kinds of fun stuff. And you have to get those answers in order to get the

next day's password for the next day's journey. So you need to make sure you do not get left
