And I'm Angie.

The Cacapo. Finally, finally, finally. This has been on the list for a long time. And we finally are getting to it.

For some reason, I don't know why. It took this long. The Kakapo is not only the only

flightless parrot in the world, but it's also nocturnal and it's giant. It's big. And several other

real oddities, making it a weird but undeniably cute parrot. Well, we're going to learn a lot,

a lot, a lot about this bird and conservation, island conservation. The thing is the cockapoe

is one of the most unique birds on earth, like Angie was just saying, and it's critically

endangered. Today, there's only 202 total birds left on the latest census of Cacapo. And there is a

very focused conservation effort going on here in New Zealand to save the Cacopoe. And we'll talk a little bit about that today.

And we are learning a lot about trying to bring this species back from the brink that we can use around the world to save some of these very critically endangered birds and other animals on some of the strategies they're using.
