0:33.7	a little bit of fatigue when we, well, when we're near the end of these many sets of
0:38.7	episodes. And we've gone so deep in some cases that you really begin to learn so much about
0:44.4	the character. But at the same time, you probably, well, you want to meet somebody new at the party.
0:51.4	I know I do. Well, this is an important episode, and for those of you who already know
0:57.5	the Bobby Baker story, you probably have been wondering how long it was going to take to get around
1:03.7	to this one. I was listening to my friend's podcast the other day, Matt Crumpton. And by the way,
1:09.7	solving JFK, his podcast is an absolutely
1:13.4	spectacular podcast. I encourage you to listen to it if you're not listening to it already.
1:19.3	And if you're not already subscribed, and many of you are, I know. Every time I talk to Matt,
1:24.1	I just can't say enough good things about what he does on that podcast. And he
1:29.3	actually mentioned the D.C. Stadium affair in a recent episode. So as usual, our episodes will
1:35.6	complement each other and you'll hopefully learn a few things on my episode today. Perhaps that you may not

1:45.3	The D.C. Stadium story is truly one of those classic stories of Bobby Baker corruption.
1:51.2	Not actually an amazing amount of money involves. In fact, the core of the story deals with a
1:56.0	performance bond that was a touch above $100,000 on what turned out to be $20 million project. And in the end,
2:04.8	his kickback or payoff was about $4,000. And all of that, of course, was rounding based on the
2:12.7	cost of the project. But it didn't change the character of what he was doing. And keep in mind,
