Summary

Tonight begins the 2023-24 NBA season. The Kings play their opener tomorrow night in Salt Lake City. On today's episode I reflect back to my first ever NBA broadcast in November of 1988. The site was Portland, Oregon and little did I know that would be the start of 32 years of calling Kings games. I reflect on one of the most amazing phone calls I've ever received. The King's previous TV announcer. Tom Curran, called me in my hotel to wish me luck. That was such a classy gesture by Tom, something I have never forgotten. The Kings lost badly to the Blazers that night, but it didn't matter to me. I was living a dream to be announcing NBA basketball! I then talk about my last time in an NBA arena, March of 2020 and the start of the pandemic. I conclude by giving my thoughts on this year's Kings squad. Learn more about your ad choices.
