I actually believe this feeling of not belonging is is related to trauma and that it shows up in every aspect of our lives, including our businesses. Believe it or not, those wounds of the past, that have not yet been healed, can absolutely affect how you're doing all the things right now. Many of our decisions come out of these parts of our lives and can lead to feeling like you don't belong anywhere. Let's discuss this today!

| 0:37.5 | And I want to talk about this idea because number one, I've been talking a lot on my Instagram stories this weekend about trauma and what trauma looks like and how it shows up in the lives of |
| 0:52.5 | people both inside and outside of business. |
| 0:57.5 | In particular, I am fascinated with how trauma shows up in the businesses of the women I coach. Now listen. |
| 1:08.5 | There was a time and I think this would be and by the way, it's conversation started because we were talking on Instagram stories or I was talking about how we went and visited. |
| 1:18.5 | Ari's biological mom, her birth mom and her half sister this weekend. |
| 1:26.5 | And so because of that, people always have questions about the fact that we have an open adoption. |
| 1:32.5 | And I love to answer those questions. It is my heart's desire to bring just more awareness and perspective to the idea of open adoptions. |
| 1:44.5 | I was born in 1971, so you can do the math. I'm about to turn 51 years old, but back in the 70s, adoption was really, you know, something that was not talked about. |
| 1:55.5 | There was a lot of shame and secrecy secrecy around the topic of adoption. |
| 2:01.5 | And and it just was it was not handled in the way that I think that would be best for both the birth parents and for the adoptive children. |
| 2:13.5 | And a lot of times it was only handled in a way that would protect the adoptive parents. Okay, so, you know, speaking, speaking out of experience here with that has led to is a lot of trauma for those of us for those women who did not know biological parents. |
| 2:37.5 | Those of us that have deep parent wounds that, you know, are still in the process of healing. |
| 2:46.5 | And I see this happen so often in business when there are wounds that have not yet been allowed to be healed when there are wounds that have been pushed down because you've been told, you know, get over it, get on with it, what have you. |
| 3:01.5 | When you have not yet allowed God to come completely into your life and heal some things and most of the time, by the way, that's just out of pain. |
| 3:10.5 | Because when you are a child who is raised in a traumatic situation, you sometimes develop a very hard shell of not needing anyone of not allowing anyone to get close with the thinking that that's what's necessary to do in order to protect yourself in order to stay safe. |
| 3:27.5 | And so I see so often in the women that I'm coaching this orphan spirit bubble up and an orphan spirit, by the way, can happen and can present itself, even if you were, you had two parents, even if you were raised in a Christian household. |
| 3:47.5 | An orphan spirit can bubble up not only from children who don't know biological parents or children who are adapted to also children out of divorce, which is also my story. |
