After enduring months of stalking and threats, Peggy Clinky moved to another state to escape her stalker.

Armed with only a less than effective protective order, her stalker was able to track her down and travel

across state lines with a gun. Her story and her sister's

advocacy has pushed stalking legislation forward, but a recent Supreme Court

Great feedback feels weird to say because it's such a heinous topic but people I wish that

we could share all of the stories that people share with us just to show how insidious and persistent stocking can be and

also how common like yeah it's wild how many people out there have so many from

like yeah he stopped me for like a couple weeks after we broke up to like a lifetime

of it.

Yeah and under reported and that's something we'll get to towards the

latter half of this episode when we start discussing some of the laws and how they've developed

but even with the statistics that we have on stocking there have

been so many people who like myself whenever we finished our conversation with Dana

and Debbie last week I was like oh I was stocked you stocked. You know, like you, because you tend to use language
