Summary

The nerve of those grassroot Republicans. A recent poll said that a majority of Republicans think Trump is a better president than Honest Abe. You might guess what happened next. Every Lincoln cultist on the Right and Left went nuts. The lefties responded by calling these people idiots who just want to have slaves. The Lincoln worshipers on the right were aghast at the cult-like following for Donald Trump and could not believe that anyone would say such a thing about St. Abraham. But who has the real cult? Last time I checked, Lincoln sits in an American Parthenon in Washington D.C. while Trump just has a few hotels and an office building. Lincoln has been the subject of thousands of books and is admired by just about everyone in America. When that happens, you know you are being hoodwinked. I discuss the poll and a couple of pieces on the topic in this episode of The Brion McClanahan Show.
