Everyone needs a hype squad. I think as grown ups, we can learn a thing or two from our youth because there is something super special about the way they really pump each other up right now. It's so amazing how they can get on social media and completely hype each other up in whatever it is they're doing. Friend, you could really benefit from having a group of people around you that encourage you and hype you up. Let's talk about it today!

| 0:26.0 | Hey friend, back to the podcast. |
| 0:31.0 | I am currently in Florida at our home there as you're listening to podcast episode number 273, but I am recording this a few days before I leave and wanted to chat with you today about why everyone needs a hype squad. |
| 0:46.0 | And so this, this idea for this podcast came about in the last few weeks as we've graduated Eastern from high school, big round of applause for Eastern Allwood everybody headed to Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona next year. |
| 1:02.0 | And so that was fabulous. We have transitioned our oldest Noah over to a new season. He has transitioned out of college and back to the Kansas City area, but on his own for the first time and not living at homes, we've officially got one out in the wild. |
| 1:17.0 | And Ava baby is going to be transitioning from middle school to high school and our little Ariana is about to be a third greater. |
| 1:28.0 | So yeah, it's been just a lot of transitions, a lot of things going on. So with that is lots of photos and with the photos is lots of posts on social media and all the things. |
| 1:36.0 | And I was telling Jason the other day that there's something that I really admire about these young people. Okay, obviously Ariana in being seven years old is not on social media. |
| 1:46.0 | Although her dream is to be TikTok famous. So prepare yourselves. Okay, I guess when you have a mother that teaches people how to do social media and, you know, she sees me doing videos. It's, you know, it is what it isn't. And then Noah now has like 5,000 Instagram followers on his KCMO kicks account where he is, you know, flipping sneakers. |
| 2:09.0 | And so she sees us in the house, you know, working on social media. So anyway, she wants to be TikTok famous. We shall see. But I was telling Jason one of the things that impresses me about youth right now is like if Ava posts something or if Noah posts something. |
| 2:26.0 | There's so many of their peers and their friends and a lot of times I think they're even strangers who are just like hyping them up who are just like sliding into their comments and telling them how amazing and beautiful and smart and wonderful and all the things that they are. So like, let me, let me read you. I was going to read some of the comments on one of my daughter's posts. So |
| 2:47.0 | she was in, you know, cute after with little skirt and stuff and people are like, you're so cute. OMG. The prettiest gorge cute, pretty love, heart face, marry me. You know, this is girlfriends that are just joking. You're so cute. I want to be you like things. It's amazing to me. No crumbs left. Can I be you. What does no crumbs left mean |
| 3:08.0 | If you know what that means, send me an Instagram DM because I don't even know. But I was like, oh my gosh, it's so amazing. And it's not just Ava and her friends. I see it on tons and tons of different things like I was looking at one of Noah's posted post a day and it says like, that's a lot of drip tough, you know, and then lots of emojis and stuff just totally hyping each other up. |
| 3:33.0 | And I was thinking that I love that. |
| 3:37.2 | Because we just don't see it enough with adults. |
| 3:40.8 | Now, I do think that when, you know, if you're going to live and die by the opinions of others, that then if you make a post and, you know, there's, there's no comments. There's no people hyping you up like that. That's something different, right. We're not supposed to rely on, you know, a hype squad or people hyping us up in comments. And that's not why we should post. |
| 3:58.8 | But I'm not really talking about it in that angle. I'm talking about it's just so nice to see the encouragement from other people. |
| 4:07.8 | And I see it with kids and with teens more than I'm even seeing it with adults. And so, you know, I was telling Jason, I just love seeing like how our kids friends are like hyping them up on social media. |
| 4:19.8 | You know, they're, they're tagging the four you page. They're trying to, you know, get things to go viral. And, and my kids are doing it back to their friends. And I think that as grownups. I mean, I know I have like two of eastern's friends who, on occasion, listen to my podcast. So thank you. Thank you very much. But I think that we can learn something from that. Honestly. |
