I'm Aaron Gleeman of Baseball Perspectus and I'm joined by

Nick Nelson of Twins Daily who is filling in for John Bonas. He will be the Lou Gehrig to John Bonus's Wally Pip and we couldn't I'm providing you with a team that is now in Shambles again to talk about Nick. Yeah what the heck why couldn't I step in here during one of this nice little winning streaks that we've been amidst for the past couple months.

Yeah, there was only, there was about a month window where I could have had you on. We could have talked. I was just saying to Nick before we went on the air, like, I bet the first 10 minutes of the show from two weeks ago is now laughable. because it was me at my most optimistic, which is still pessimistic, but for me it's way optimistic.

And bonus was just like through the roof. Right. He was just like, this lineup is amazing. The pitching staff's coming around. We're ready. He was like not ruling out World Series this year, even though they were a thousand games. And now it's like, oh, yeah. I think, I mean, they beat the Braves, too.

Braves are actively not trying to win games.

And then aside from that, I just looked at the schedule.

They lost nine out of ten. Aside from that, they lose all four to Kansas City. So, yeah, that's where we're at in terms of the team to talk about. Now, a lot of the same stuff is, it seems like it's been a couple months since we've looked at like a short-term view. I mean, when you start the season 0 and 9 and they're whatever they were, 20 and 48, you kind of force yourself to take the long view and all that stuff is still worth talking about. Right. They're still, you know, on the trade front, they have another week and a half to make something happen, although there hasn't really been much talk about that.

Kurt Suzuki cleared waivers, which on one hand probably suggest no one was that hot after

him.

On the other hand, it means anybody who does have an interest is now free to trade for him.

The twins can essentially treat it as it was last month, where they can trade them wherever
