Aya. Award season officially, for real, kicked off this past week.

The Gotham Awards happened on Monday, and then we had, man, a ton of precursors following that.

Hollywood Critics Association announced their nominees.

The National Board of Review announced their winners.

New York Film Critics Circle also announced their winners.

Had a few regions chime in with their

nominations. So it's here. It's happening. It's in full swing. The most exciting time of

the year, and it ain't Christmas people. So for this week's show, we have no trailers to talk about.

I mean, let's face it, we were kind of struggling last week with that too, weren't we?

Boy, yeah. So we're going to talk about award season for this entire episode. Of course,

we'll go over to polls. We'll answer some of your fan questions, but this really is a deep

dive into where things are starting off. But before we get to any of that, I want to go around and ask what everyone has been watching this week. So, Cody, what do we start off with you? What have you been watching over the past week? So I totally agree. This is definitely the best time of year in terms of, you know, checking off movies that you've been waiting for eight, nine, ten months to see. And this week was no exception for me. I finally got to see House of Gucci, which I,

uh, 10 months to see. And this week was no exception for me. I finally got to see a house of Gucci,

which I, uh, you know, sorry Matt enjoyed for better or for worse. Um, I think it's, it's slow pace

kind of lends itself to the, uh, thematic resonance of this like, you know, boring old rich family just lugubriously taking their time through life. And then Gaga comes in and disrupts it, both the movie and the family. So I, something about it I enjoyed even if wasn't, you know, perfect, I would say. Uh, I caught up on Belfast, which I'm sorry to say I wasn't a huge fan of.

I found it a bit disconnected, and I didn't love that the movie kind of just, I mean, it really put the fast in Belfast.

Like every scene was about a minute or two too short.
