joining us today is an American singer and songwriter who first rose to fame as

one fifth of fifth harmony. The successful girl band formed during the second season of the US X factor in 2012.

Since leaving the group in 2016, she's found international superstardum and carved out a stellar solo career.

Along the way, she's notched up billions of streams, two Latin

grammies, five American Music Awards and a Billboard Music Award, and

collaborated with the likes of Ed Sheer and Benny Blanco, Phineas, Drake, Mark

Ronson, Hans Zimmer and Farel Williams.

were delighted to welcome the fabulous Camilla Cabello to the show.

Camila was born in 1997 in Havana, Cuba,

and moved back and forth between Cuba and Mexico until she was six,

when she relocated to Miami with her Cuban mother, who placated their daughter by telling her they were going on a vacation to Disney World. Her Mexican father wasn't able to join

them in the States for another year and a half. Our guest grew up in a Spanish-speaking household and credits

listening to American pop music with helping her to learn English.

For her 15th birthday, Camila asked her parents to drive her to an X-factor audition in North Carolina.

She made it through to the show only to be eliminated at boot camp stage, but in a manner not dissimilar to the creation of one direction,

was quickly recalled by Simon Cowell to form part of a new girl band called Fifth Harmony.

The group went on to release two top five albums, 2015's reflection and the following years 727,
